Curtis Kuhn

Curtis is a Lead Software Engineer at CME Group, where he is responsible for integrating Workday with a myriad of upstream and downstream systems. Prior to joining CME Group, Curtis was a Manager in Deloitte Consulting's Human Capital practice. He brings years of experience in application development, systems integration, and consulting services through a number of large scale projects for functional areas across the enterprise including HR, Marketing, and Finance. Curtis holds a Management Information Systems degree from Loras College and is working towards a Master of Science in Human Computer Interaction from DePaul University.

Curtis believes that the key to breaking the cycle of poverty is education. As a senior project mentor at North Lawndale College Prep, he’s seen first-hand the power of the “As to Bs” thinking paradigm and how it prepares kids to not only graduate high school but excel through college.

Curtis credits his educators – be it his parents and siblings in his childhood home, his teachers in the classroom and mentors in the corporate world – for where he is today, and is excited to bring his technical experience to the Purple Pen to further its mission of empowering local educators and schools.
