Louise Limoge
Connected with The Purple Pen since 2016, Louise brings her positive "thinking out of the box" approach to everything she does. Louise's style of tapping into every student's positive characteristics aligns perfectly with The Purple Pen's asset-driven learning.
As a certified Wilderness First Responder and American Mountain Guide Instructor, Louise has taught many academic lessons outside of the classroom in the wilderness, on a river, and physics lessons on the side of a granite cliff. She feels passionate about engaging and teaching young people in creative environments and tapping into their resiliency and artistic talents.
Louise earned a bachelor’s degree in Special Education from West Chester University in Pennsylvania and a master’s degree in Educational Administration and Supervision from the University of New Hampshire. Louise has twenty-four years teaching experience, grades K–12, primarily at the intermediate level as a special education teacher with a strong emphasis on hands-on learning and multiple intelligences.
Louise owned and operated Vermont Climbing and Adventure School for seven years, working with clientele of all ages and abilities. She is currently a rock-climbing guide for MetroRock Vermont, and co-owner of Limoge Properties in Burlington, Vermont.
